Building 7 Star Homes free Information Session

The City of Greater Bendigo and Bendigo Sustainability Group are holding this free, not to be missed information session, for building professionals, designers, developers and anyone in the home building sector.

From May 1, 2024 the minimum energy efficiency building standards for new homes in Victoria will increase from 6 to 7 stars.

Join us for this information session and you will:

• Learn about the new 7 Star Homes Victorian Government legislation

• Hear from expert speakers including energy rater and NatHERS technical expert Mick Lewin about how to move to the new standards

• Increase your understanding of the performance and cost benefits of building more sustainably

Presented by accredited NatHERS assessor Mick Lewin, this event will highlight case studies of a typical new build in the Bendigo climate and the environmental and cost benefits associated with key sustainable design considerations to reach a 7-star home.

About the presenter

Mick Lewin is an accredited NatHERS assessor and Residential Efficiency Scorecard Assessor with over 15 years of experience as a consultant, advisor and author in Bendigo and surrounding areas. Currently, he is a Victorian representative of the Technical Advisory Committee as part of the Australian Building Sustainability Association.
