Stories to Action
The problem: Young people will inherit a world that’s in environmental crisis, yet their own voices are usually sidelined.
A solution: Help them to tell their own stories about the crisis and how they’re responding, so they can inspire others in, and beyond, their generation.
We are sharing young people’s stories in a video competition with a difference – instead of a one-off event with unsustainable prizes, Stories to Action will be a platform to inspire young voices and connect youth meaningfully with organisations who can amplify their impact.
We will build the capacity of youth participants to tell their own stories through compelling short videos about environmental issues they are passionate about, and the positive actions they wish to take in response.
The video competition gathers entries from young people aged 11-29yo, with participants being inspired to create videos through online workshops and free resources.
Participants are encouraged to share their videos with their own communities to inspire their peers to take positive action, supported by an online environmental action pledge.
Celebration and connection events will showcase the prize-winning videos, with participating youth given the opportunity to connect with creative, social and environmental organisations to grow their capacity and amplify their impact.
Competition closes 30 April!
