Bendigo Sustainability Festival: 10th annual event attracted over 2,500 attendees, 90+ stallholders, and featured keynote speaker Craig Reucassel.
Giving Power Program: Provided solar PV systems to 31 low-income households, saving energy costs and reducing carbon emissions with over 200 panels installed.
New Energy Jobs Fund: Enabled installation of two 100kW solar PV systems at Bendigo Health nursing homes.
Sustainable House Day Events: Hosted successful sessions on 7-Star Homes and Passive House, with plans for a new Sustainable House program in collaboration with the City of Greater Bendigo.
Zero Emissions Business Program: Helped 15 local businesses save energy and reduce CO2 emissions, with over 283,830 kWh saved.
Youth Stories to Action: Showcased sustainability solutions from young people across six countries, with 34 videos produced.
Meet the Candidates Forums: Facilitated discussions with local election candidates on sustainability issues ahead of the 2024 City of Greater Bendigo elections.
BSG Recycling Program: Collected and sorted hard-to-recycle items, including coffee pods, razors, and bottle tops, and organized community recycling events.
Energy Literacy & Efficiency Resources: Launched practical guides to help households reduce energy use, receiving positive feedback.
BSG Supporter Program & Sustainability Directory: Introduced new initiatives to build a network of engaged community members and sustainable businesses.
Team Growth: Welcomed a new Events & Communications Manager to strengthen BSG’s outreach and secured multiple grants to support continued programming.
